Linen Quarter
The Linen Quarter is the area of Belfast south of the City Hall.
The name is derived from the great many linen manufacturers that made their homes in the area and which were so influential in the development of Belfast, a city once referred to as the "Linenopolis".
The site now occupied by Belfast City Hall was once the home of the White Linen Hall, an important international linen exchange.
The street which runs from the back door of Belfast City Hall through the middle of the Linen Quarter is known as Linen Hall Street.
The Linen Hall Library, one of Belfast's oldest cultural institutions, that occupies a site in Donegall Square North in front of today's City Hall, started life within the walls of the White Linen Hall.

The area between this and the Lagan has been cleared, and the site's massive gas holders (once the largest in the world) have been removed.

Cathedral Quarter
The Cathedral Quarter is a developing area of the city, roughly situated between Royal Avenue near where the Belfast Central Library building is, and the Dunbar Link in the city centre. From one of its corners, the junction of Royal Avenue, Donegall Street and York Street, the Cathedral Quarter lies south and east. Part of the area, centred on Talbot Street behind the cathedral, was formerly called the Half Bap.[3] The "Little Italy" area was on the opposite side of Great Patrick Street centred on Little Patrick Street and Nelson Street.
The Cathedral Quarter extends out to the edge of what can be referred as the old merchant quarter of the city. Past where the merchant area meets the Cathedral Quarter is still mostly merchant trade and services orientated and undeveloped for visitor services.
The Cathedral Quarter is so called because St Anne's Cathedral lies at its heart. St. Anne's or Belfast Cathedral is a Church of Ireland cathedral.

StepSpace
Centre House on Belfast’s Chichester Street is the first of a number of locations in the city centre to house StepSpace, an exciting first-of-its-kind office space concept aimed at fast scaling tech companies.
Developed to bridge the gap between co-working office space and the traditional city centre office letting, StepSpace represents an initial committed investment of £3m by Causeway Asset Management.
Offering an alternative to the traditional five or ten year lease, an ongoing membership at StepSpace not only entitles companies to private office space set around a communal core, but also a range of operational and support services.
Flexibility by design means member companies have the opportunity to grow in a fully scalable, modular office environment and can ‘scale up’ without relocating, therefore avoiding property searches and lease negotiations.
